Cool Tux Racer!


My penguin is solid white,

I have a Voodoo 3.


Anybody having the same problem

i had a voodoo a little while ago and it wrked great with tuxracer. i was using xfree86 4.1.0, on redhat 7.2. i dont know what the solid whiteness is, but at least u know it is possibel to get wrking

strange problem... you might want to send a bug report into tuxracer's development team. i think that probably has something to do with some opengl command that's not correctly implemented on either the card or in tuxracer.

I think I will do that.

The only thing I saw on their site was the fog problem, but the scenery is fine on mine.

There's a similar problem with one of the nascar games and Voodoo card where the cars are white, there was a work around for that.

this in the tuxracer options file fixes the problem


set use_sphere_display_list true


the problem occurs on voodoo and radeon.
