Turnkey LiveCD's and writing?

Hey guys I saw all these Turnkey Livecd's on softpedia
http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Syste...Distributions/

and was wondering if any of them (wordpress, twiki, mediawiki, dokuwiki) are good for writers or helpful to writers?
not really the livecd's but the apps themselves as I'm not familiar with them and wanted feedback on what they can be used for?
thanks

I say no.

I also had ventured into the realm of "Things that will help me write," and was unable to find much useful. I think for me, it came from a bout of writers block, or lack of creativity. Basically I thought "Well, maybe I'm not writing as well, because the tools I am using aren't allowing me to research and collect my data well enough."

While I can't say that a better interface, or more bells and whistles, was able to help me, I did find that some note taking programs are sufficiently well suited for writer-me.

Evernote / Nevernote / OneNote are excellent applications and allow syncing from Iphone to web, to Android to Desktop. Which I find to be very useful for long meetings whose time I use to brainstorm for my stories.
