Turning on/off a service?

Hi. I am setting up a web server, and it's not working. I think my HTTP service may be turned off, but I don't know how to find it, or turn it on if it isn't. I'm using a Netra X1 machine with Solaris 8 running on it, if that makes any difference. Hope I'm posting this in the right place... Thanks!

Not quite the right place since this is a Linux forum but I might be able to help you out anyway... if i remember, you have to restart inet.d and that will reload all your services..

# /etc/init.d/inetd stop|start

make sure you have httpd in your inet.conf file

theres probably a better answer out there somewhere, I know squat about Solaris :)
