TT fonts in KDE

Hi!

I installed my Windows TrueType fonts with kde 3.0 control center. Some of them work, but most of them behave very strange: when I want to apply the font anywhere in kde (in e.g. openoffice.org everything works fine), I get a very strange "result" - words are changed to some strange characters (like &#$#%&#"%& ). Is something wrong with encoding?

Bye,
Matjaz

It may be and encoding problem. Look if TT fonts use the same encoding as there is in Linux (ISO). WIth some languages there is a problem with it (and Polish is one of the examples).
