Trying to use available space on mounted HDD for vm Boxes memory

Hello!
AAAaarrgh!!!!
I finally figured out how to use my USB in v Box, Add an aditional HDD and mount it. Now I'm trppin out cause I'm yet again running into another road block.

my problem now is the fact that I'm trying to use my 128 GB SSHD as the boot disk only and then use the extra added 1TB HDD as storage and other things like installing new software.

After installing everything needed for fedora I only have a few GB's left on my boot disk and I want everything else installed on the second disk like I had with windows.

I have windows 8.1 on a VM box and now I'm trying to further install VS 2013 ultimate on it but it wont let me install on the extra HDD.

If I've been fortunate enough to explain my situation can somebody tell me how to get this all worked out?

Thank You
AO!

Are you installed on LVM or directly on disk partitions?

I'd think you don't have some permission to create a virtual hard drive on the extra mount or not telling the vm to create the virtual hard drive there.

OK
Oracle Virtual Box is WAAAAYYY better then default VBoxes but once again I'm having problems getting the virtual machine to recognize the USB device. Why doesn't anybody put out a clear definitive tut out on stuff like this? if they did alot more people would come over to the DARK SIDE!!!!

But seriously I tried creating a filter, I unmounted the usb from the host OS, even entered the vmboxusernames in the terminal but still nothing.
I know it's got to be a small thing. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank You
AO!

yeah I basically built it myself. its a desktop with an asus p8h67-pro motherboard, i7 processor, etc. I was able to just load the iso in the storage option but still can't access the usb but that's alright for now. It's all just a learning experience.
