Trying to dual boot Windows XP w/ Fedora C1

Hello guys,

I am new to Linux. I want to try it out without getting rid of Windows XP and all my data, just incase I don't like it. So I got Partition Magic Demo, but it apparently does no actual partitioning, just a demo of what it can do. In desperation, I ask someone at another site how to dual boot, and he said I should try using Mandrake's DiskDrake. Reading up on it, I find that it can't resize non-FAT partitions without destroying the data. So, I ask a friend on AIM who points me to this website. Soooo, does anyone know what options I have to:

-Make another partition on my drive for Fedora WITHOUT destroying all my current data

So is Windows on one partition that takes up the whole disk? When I've bought a computer the drive has always been partitioned already with Windows XP on the first partition. I used the Windows tools to delete the other partitions and then install Linux on there.
There's a risk that any tool that divides the partition will make Windows unbootable. You would be wise to backup all your data and be prepared to reinstall everything if it all goes wrong.
80Gb is a large disk. Is it really all in one partition? If you have stuff on 2 or three partitions move it all onto one partition to make empty space.

I chose to use all of C:\ for XP, and chose the long NTFS format.
