Trouble Installing Debian With LXDE

I can't seem to install Debian with the LXDE desktop. I can make a base install, and then install LXDE as root, but this doesn't include the default apps.

Within the installer, during the "Select And Install Software" step, it downloads all of the packages, and then the step fails immediately after that.
Is this a problem on my end? Will I need to work around this?

Not sure if you are using the netinstall or standard install CD/DVD but you could try the Debian LXDE live CD,

Debian Live LXDE CD 32bit

Debian Live LXDE CD 64bit

It's the netinst CD image for amd64. And thanks, I'll try that.

After installing base, check your sources.list

It should have something like:

deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ squeeze main contrib non-free 

# Security Updates  http://www.debian.org/security/
deb http://security.debian.org/ squeeze/updates main contrib non-free 

# Squeeze-updates 
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ squeeze-updates main contrib non-free

If not edit it.
apt-get update
apt-get install lxde xorg
