Trouble creating live cd

Hello Everyone,

I've been trying to create a customized live cd of ubuntu 8.04 LTS using both reconstructor and remastersys, and both create sucessfully the cd, but unfortunately when i'm trying to test it it gives me a kernel panic (kernel panic: not syncing VFS: unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (104,1)).
I believe it has something to do with initrd since on the original ubuntu iso the initrd has more or less 7 Mb but on the customized iso it only has 33kb.

Can someone help me out with this issue?

Thank you all in advance and best regards.

Yes the both failed and strangely with the same error on the same block.
i'll guess i'll try with the 9.04 to check if the problem is because of the used version (i have my doubts about it).
i'm gonna try it once with other version and i'll let you know about it.

thank you
