Triple BOOT on 1 DRIVE

Hello,

I managed to install FEDORA,SUSE,and winXP on 1 HARDISK.

At the time of booting YAST(suse?) gives message ;

rootNOTverify hd(0,2)
chain loader +1

What does that mean?

ALL OF THEM ARE RUNNING SMOOTHLY AS DANDY AS MY COMP.

regards

That's an error message? Looks more like the Windows menu entry from your /boot/grub/grub.conf. FWIW my grub menu entry for Windows is as follows:

title Windows XP / Server 2003
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

Where do you see this message?

I saw that on calling the SUSE, but it works out splendid.

Maybe it's just a notification.

Can you post your grub configuration file? In /boot/grub---it might be called "menu.lst"
The "RootNOTverify" looks like a typo---should be rootnoverify

Glenzo;
I only see;

rootnoverify (hd0,2)
chainloader +1

PIXEL;Root no verify / Root not verify ;I cannot verify it's too fast to read.

I'll get back soon

Bobymc 05-07-2006 12:00 PM

I'm back;

GRUB v 0,93

this is the window
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

this is the SUSE
rootnoverify (hd0,2)
chainloader +1

Fedora:

root (hd0,4)
kernel /vmlinuz-2,4.22-1.2115 ro root = LABEL =/hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi rhgb

"YES!" THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT MESSAGE.

I also heard that someone has 6 operating system in his HDD.....worth to try.
