So you just deleted the old Linux partitions, reinstalled, and when it installed the new bootloader, it overwrote that on the MBR?

Ok, I'm ressurrecting this post again. I have fedora on my laptop now, and I want to switch to ubuntu. I got a mixed response here, so I'm wondering if I can simply install ubuntu by deleting the fedora partitions and installing ubuntu on them.

The guys on neowin said it would work, but I thought I'd check here anyway, I only had one answer over there.
