tracking library / OS calls

Hello All

I'm trying to get AlienFlux to run (and this forum is bigger and more linux focused) with OpenAL sound, which is what they coded into it.

For some reason i don't get sound in linux, but in windows it works fine. The support guy was wondering if there was a command to trace library calls, and i know there is, i've used it 3 or 4 blue moons ago.

Anyone know what the command is to get linux to display (or log) the library calls a program initiates?

I'd appreachiate any help, we've been looking into this for a week and a half now.

PS: Hardware details (duh):
it's an AMD AthlonXP 2800+ (Barton) on a Soltek 75-FRN2-L (Nforce2 board) with 512MB RAM, on a 2.4.21 kernel with the sound drive compiled statically into it.
And yes, sound works normally.
OS is Slackware Linux 9.0.
