Tottaly confused with lm_sensors and i2c!
 

I've been trying 2 get this 2 work for about 4 hours.No luck.....

I've tried a lot but now (since nothing worked) i've uninstalled everything.

Here's what i have:

(1) I've installed gkrellm and lm_sensors from my distro (mandrake 9.2) cd's

(2)I've also downloadeded i2c-2.8.3.tar.gz and lm_sensors-2.8.3.tar.gz from the internet

(3) I DON'T wanna recompile my kernel nor patch it

(4) What do i do to -at last!- be able to c my cpu and mobo temp through gkrellm?

I would really appreciate a step by step quide or how to!

PS I have 2.4.22-10mdk kernel with sources installed

cd to the lm_sensors compile directory. cd progs/detect. As root, run ./sensors-detect
