To delete root permission files in user trash

Hi all,
I have some files with root permission in trash which can't be deleted even after logged in as root. I used USB which contained windows virus and I deleted the same in Red Hat Linux. Now I want to empty the trash. I deleted the folder trash from root and I created it newly. But still this files are there in my user login. Please suggest me the possible way to delete these files.

Thanks in advance.

User and root trash bins are usually separated in Linux. root will have its own bin, and the user its own distinct one. Try deleting user files when logged in as the specific user, and if you still can't delete all the files, write again here.

Hi,
I tried that one also. The files are not deleted. I deleted the folder itself. But when I opened the same in GUI it is still there. Is there any way of deleting these infected files? I got one solution for it, but its rough way. Anyway I want to mention it. Creating new user and transferring data to that newuser and deleting the old user. But suggest me a good way of solving the problem. Thanks for your suggestion.
