how long does it take to loose the Newbie title at this forum? Is it based on membership or # of questions asked. With that out of the way, what was the reasoning for taking linuxconf out of the install? All the new graphic utilities that 7.1
well... you have to earn your rank, and it's not easy. this is a very select and esoteric group. bring us the head of a microsoft programmer, and we'll consider your membership.
if you get the head of a microsoft marketing exec, they make you a moderator.

but to tell you the truth, i am no guru... i just like looking for answers for people when i don't know off the top of my head, and the fact i have so much spare time all day at work.
but its 30 to become a member, and a 1000 to become a guru.
Thank you tricky kid, I have one of those jobs too, where work is more of a hobby than an actual event, leaving time to broaden your horizons. I was just curious when I joined, and read some other members posts, I don't believe I will be able to fill the requests of isajera for membership, killing a computer is the extent of my brutal side. But I suppose I could try it this once to get in!
