TI-86 and Linux 2.6.8.1 with TI black link serial cable
Recently, and perhaps a bit impulsively, I decided that I'd like to piddle about with assembler on my TI-86 calculator. To do so I'll need to be mount my calculator like a device so I can write out the compiled assembler binaries.
I can't, for the life of me, find useful information on how to do so. My link cable is not a homemade thing, instead it's a purchased cable from the TI people, the so called Black Link. I know that in the 2.6.8.1 kernel ( the one I currently run ) there's a compilable module for the, I presume, homemade parallel link to the TI-86 but that doesn't help me much. I'd prefer to use my Black Link.
My question is then, how to I go about connecting my TI-86 to my linux box?
On another note, is anyone aware of a Linux centric TI calculator enthusiast group? I know of ticalc.org, but they're very Windows centric. ( Not that that's a bad thing, I'd just like to be able to ask other Linux people questions. )
Also, if anyone has had experience programming the TI-86, links to how I can emulate the 86 on my box for debugging purposes would be very handy.
