Thinking of trying out and learning another *NIX.

I've been considering dabbling with another brand of UNIX since I've experienced BSD and GNU/Linux both.

I was thinking of trying out a project based on Illumos.

Has anyone tried out OpenIndiana or OmniOS extensively to say which would be a good starting point?

I don't know about those, but I've been considering giving Minix a go.

As they're all derivatives/forks of Solaris, this might be better off in the Solaris forum.
You can use the Report button to ask the Mods to move it.
Please don't cross-post it.
Thx
