I tried to view movie on my computer using several program e.g xine. I always got half screen (in the middle) movie. the display and sound seems to be ok but the ratio is bad (i.e. very narrow) I'm usign GeForce DDR with Fedora core. Do I have to install driver?

It would not be a bad place to start. Simply go to the Nvidia website and download the latest driver. Here's the link: You want the one at the top (1.0-6111). Read the directions on the website good and remember that you have to edit your XF86Config file according to what the directions say. If that doesn't work move on to the next option. I had a hard time getting xine and mplayer working at first also.
