The GIMP on TruTV

I was watching Forensic Files tonight on TruTV (used to be CourtTV). (Okay, so I'm a mystery buff.)

The GIMP and open source figure in this episode. The investigators could not afford the technology they needed, so they turned to open source and solved the case. The GIMP helped them identify the victim.

It wasn't much, but it was something in the way of being noticed.

Would have been even better if they used a Linux distro instead of Windows XP.

Liked the way they hit the mark with because of technology available to anyone.
