Text Terminals Cut Off

When my Debian sarge system boots in text mode, at first, I can see all of the text on the screen, but after a while the screen sort of gets bigger, so that the top and bottom of the screen get cut off. The monitor is an old IBM PS/2 monitor, and doesn't appear to have any option that lets you realign the screen, so it's stuck that way. It seems that the screen stretches out around when it loads framebuffer options, but I have no idea how to change them. I checked my Grub configuration file, but there was nothing about framebuffers in it. Is there any way to resolve this? TIA.

Hi,

yes, you have to pass an vga=xxx argument to kernel.
Look at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handboo...part=1&chap=10 which should help you.
