tcpdump command

when i am using tcpdump command in any suitable format in rhel its working but when i am using tcpdump command with port no. like tcpdump port 80 or any other command combining tcpdump with port its not working. will anybody tell me why this is happening

You may need to specify the interface to listen on - 'tcpdump -i eth0 port 80' for example
