system / hw clock difference
[root@trevor chris]# hwclock --show
Tue 22 Jan 2002 12:32:14 GMT -0.435479 seconds [root@trevor chris]# date Tue Jan 22 12:12:19 GMT 2002 ?? why would my time in linux keep continually going out of sync with the hardware clock, always that far out? i keep setting teh system clock with an 'rdate -s tick.august.net' which sets the time right.. but next boot it's wrong again. i just used 'hwclock --hctosys' which might fix it.. but will it? |
I was having similar problems, but with greater timespans than that (Redhat 7.x).
#> date MMDDHHmmYYYY #> setclock Try that, reboot, see what happens. |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:39 PM. |
