system down from gdm?
i've configured my slack 9 system to load gdm on startup. my problem is this:
the gdm with redhat had a "system" button on the bottom of the screen that allowed users to shut down, restart etc. Since i can only log out from my user account, and i can't even figure out how to easily get out of gdm and into a command line after leaving gnome so that i can shut down, it usually becomes logging back in as root and shutting down from there. so... any suggestions? |
/etc/gdm/gdm.conf
You could try editing /etc/gdm/gdm.conf
Here is a link to the gdm reference manual. The URL is pretty long. If it doesn't make it into the post correctly then google: gdm reference manual http://www.ibiblio.org/oswg/oswg-nig...ence/x135.html |
