System configuration snapshot

Wondering if there's a program that takes a system-wide snapshot of your configurations, setup, theme, installed applications, menu preferences, all of it.

Basically, if you were to reinstall Linux you could have all your old settings and themes by inserting a CD.

Spent the last 2 days getting openSUSE to feel right after running Ubuntu 9.10 for the past year. Would love to use all that time on something else.

Currently running openSUSE 11.3 GNOME

Thanks in advance for any replies!

This has been asked and answered on here MANY times. A quick search would have found you lots.

Check out the mondoarchive, systemimager, mkcdrec, and clonezilla programs. Any/all of them can do what you're wanting.
