Switching Kernels...

I would like to switch from my present (2.4.22) kernel to the new 2.6.0-test11. However, seeing as how this would be my first time replacing a kernel, I'm curious to know if there is a document or a "howto" to switch my kernel.

Thanks in advance.

You don't replace the old kernel ...

You have them both, and the switching happens
via lilo

All you need is two sections in lilo.conf

Give the new kernel file a different name
from vmlinuz (like vmlinuz.2.6) and edit
/etc/lilo.conf appropriately.

Cheers,
Tink
