Need A True Redhat User
I am having trouble installing themes (gnome) for my desktop. Also i was wondering if i could switch to KDE but how owuld u do that. In older versions there was a pop up menu at teh login screen but its not there ne more....

run this:
gnome-theme-properties &
it has an option called "Install new them..". I believe it will go to /usr/share/themes/
The option to switch desktops is still present in the GUI login screen -- its in the bottom. If you did not install KDE, it won't appear as a choice.
You can also switch desktops using this command:
switchdesk kde
or
switchdesk gnome

Ok. I will try that. thank you very much. I saw the Sessions option at the bottom whe it has Fail Safe / Default / Gnome / Last Used options. No KDE. Also when i go to preferences > Extra > Desktop switching Tool when i run it it has Gnome and TWM to swith to no kde.

use this:
redhat-config-packages
And select the components for KDE
|
