I have two problems with Suse 8.2 version. I want to share it with you?
Firstly, I have installed gnome in my system, but during the logon session, gnome is not listed to chose, but kde and others are listed. What should I do?
Secondly, when I open a 3d game, it works but the screen is waving. Solutions?
thanx

The graphical login screen is provided by the program kdm. Search this site for "kdm gnome", that should bring some useful results (i.e. it's easy to do, I just forgot how).
In case you have a Nvidia graphics card, you have to download your driver. SuSE's helpcenter tells you more, alternatively go to Nvidia's site and read there.

Correction, it is even easier: Make sure gnome and qt libs are installed. In KDE, open the configuration menu -> system -> loginmanager. In one of the riders there you can change the list of GUIs.
