SuSE 8.1 ftp complete directory tree size?

Anyone know how large in total the SuSE 8.1 directory tree is on their ftp server? Just wondering if its worth it to download the entire contents to my local disk and install from there.

Otherwise, how long does an ftp install take, if im on a cable connection?

I can't say about SuSE, but it took 16 hours fot a complete RedHat 8 install over 1.1M DSL.

Will take 4 hours in a good day to install via fpt with check all package groups using fast ADSL modem. This way is better, 30 minutes assist in the first install stage and leave it overnight.

Allocate around 5 GB free space in order to download the entire tree. This is not worth it because it is also difficult to install from harddisk.

Have a lot of fun :-)
