Cool SuSE 7.1 host and winxp guest

hi , i have a dual boot machine with xp and SuSE 7.1 . I installed the first time vmware and when i run the machine to open windows .Then the i run vmware tools and the vm screw up my winxp partition by deleting the drivers for every device.I talk to someone and told me to create a hardware profile 2 in windows just copy paste the already .
1)Where the heck can i find that in win.?

I should mention that i used the raw disks to setup the host and the guest o.s.?Plz reply as soon as possible
