Question Super Key Replacement?

OK, so I have an HP DV6700 that I have had for about a year. I bought it for school since it was fairly inexpensive but reliable. Upon buying it I wiped the drive, put on Ubuntu 8.04 and remove ALL evidence of Windows on the hardware of the computer, such as all the Windows license info that they put on the bottom. Anyways the only thing left is the super key that has the classic windows icon.

The questions is does anyone know a site where I could buy a replacement super key that has tux or other Linux icons? I've googled and googled and can't seem to find anything but to me custom super keys seem like they should exist somehwere.

thank you

If you can fully remove the key (I don't know about that model) then you can use Brasso (a very fine metal polish), normal generic white toothpaste, or from what I hear goo gone (I've used the first two, but I don't know about the last one.) Just keep rubbing. heh.

After the lettering is gone, steel wool it lightly, spray some krylon fusion paint in a cup and stencil on whatever you want.

Incidentally, it works really well for legos also.

PS- Really, really, really, fine grit sand paper works acceptably and faster (think 800 grit or smaller.) Although sometimes it alters the look of the surface, it's a better option if you're doing a full keyboard for instance. A long long time ago I did that to a keyboard to put my name across the home row. Looked pretty slick.

If you want a whole keyboard, ZaReason sells one with a "tux key". I haven't used one, so I can't tell you if it's worth the $40 or not. Aargh...I'm too new here to post the link, but it's easy to find.

There's always "Das Keyboard" also, but that's quite expensive, although I can vouch that it is a good keyboard.

Visit www.system76.com. Send a self-addressed envelope and a thank you note to recieve ubuntu stickers. They include one to cover the windows logo (super key) and one to replace the small windows sticker. Hooray!
