Suggest Linux Hardware vendor?

Hello,

Anyone have suggestions on good hardware vendors for Linux servers?

I am currently pricing a two-way Xeon server with 1 GB RAM and a ~500 GB ATA RAID array for use as a file server that's going to run Linux (Samba + Netatalk). So far the best deal seems to come from California Digital (they bought up VA Linux) and they quoted me about $4,000 USD.

Just curious what some of the other well known options might be... thanks very much!

You can always check out the provider who donated the server for LQ. http://www.aslab.com/

I can attest to the fact that the servers ASL ship are high quality machines.

WOW.

They beat the competitor's price by 33%. Thanks for that recommendation!
