Streaming sound with aRTS

Is there any way I can use aRTS to stream sound over a network, the client being a Linux computer with Gnome desktop, and therefore not using aRTS?

If so can anyone give me a step by step guide? All I've been able to discover so far is you have to select "Enable networked sound" in the KDE sound system dialogue. I've no idea what you have to do on the client machine.

My wish is to stream music using mplayer on the server.

I'm running Debian Etch with KDE 3.5.

Hmm, I guess the lack of responses tells its own story! I've decided to switch to Gnome and use pulseaudio.
