you should be able to use dos prompt in windows to create the cd using rawrite. it's on the cd
or you could use rawrite for windows to make the floppy.

ok, well ive tried it on three diferent drives and three different settups, and none of them work... i think im going to buy the linux bible, and use the CD's that come with that, i think that my disks are bad, if three computers wont work with em, all have the same problems.
thanx for your help guys

Better still, consider an oreilly book.
The initial learning curve can be steep, and it's difficult diagnosing your problem if you're not familiar with the terminology and underlying concepts.
Just a hint, if you want to look for first hand experience search on your hardware model and 'linux' and 'install' - it sounds obvious but I missed it for the first few months.

ive searched google for every thing i can, and ive talked to a few people, all signs point toward the disks being the problem, since it wouldnt work on three computers, each with a different kind of drive and setup.
has to be the disks right?
my friend is gonna send me some disks to see if they work, if they dont, i hope the books will be able to help...
thanx again

books are great, but they will not help with this problem. It is just supposed to work without any problem. So it must be the disks
