??? Strange fglrx ???

Hi all,
before few days ago i isntalled and played Enemy Territory for half an hour - it gave 100-150 fps on high detail and 20 players-server. i wanted to play it today, but fps is 40-80, sometimes it shows 150...200, but just for a few miliseconds. When i press mousebutton to shoot, theres a 200-300 ms delay before gun shoots;[ping to server is 15-30ms] also gamma is strange - sometimes i can adjust it from et console with /r_gamma and sometimes not - i have to reboot.
glgears gives sometimes 3500FPS, sometimes 1600.... i really dont know whats going on with my system... :( i have suse linux 9.2 with x.org 6.8.1, drivers are downloaded from suse ftp [not written by ati,but novell].
I've seen fglrxinfo output in some thread here, and it was MUCH longer than mine:

display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 9600 Generic
OpenGL version string: 1.3.4893 (X4.3.0-8.10.19)

-thats all .....

Please, does anyone know where could be a problem here ???

i've solved the trouble with gamma- dunno why, but it seems it cant be changed in X... For ati graphic cards is utility fireglcontrol ,gamma can be adjusted here.
