Strange error reffering partition table and swap
Since I moved from the official Red Hat kernel to the vanilla 2.4.21 patched with Con Kilivas' Kernel Patch I get this strange errors:
When starting up the computer. Code:
ldm_validate_partition_table(): Disk read failed Code:
Turning off Swap: Spurious ### IRQ7 What do these errors mean? Note. the first one was present without having applied the patch, the latter I guess was caused by the patch. Is there any solution, should I regenerate (at the risk of losing my system) the partition table via fdisk? Thanks in advance. Thetargos PS: I did not know where to put this thread, that is why it is in the Linux General forum. |
The exact second error is:
Code:
Turning off swap: spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7 |
