Sorry I couldn't make it to work. Scanner couldn't be detected.
Finally I installed Windows 7 on an old SATA3 Maxtor 160G Hard drive, bare metal installation. Now I can scan both negatives and photo on my old Epson scanner (Perfection 3490 photo). The quality is excellent. I can scan upto 1200 dpi, but taking longer time.
Yesterday I visited Canon Show Room here requesting for a demonstration on CanoScan 9000F Mark II. In my opinion the quality on negative scanning won't be better than that of my old Epson scanner. But the scanning speed of the latter is faster.
Now I still can use my old Epson scanner scanning negatives. With the money saved I would buy a 240G SSD for running Window 7.
Wonderful!
