Starting up in KDE session

When I start a KDE session, why do a Netscape window and 2 command prompt windows open?

(I do close everything before I reboot/shut down)

Look for KDE Components in the menu, then select Session Manager. Check out the part about "On Login". You may want to start a blank session.

Hope that helps.

Additionally:

You probably closed a previous session having netscape and two command prompts open ?
KDE restores your session as you quit it last time...
I always close all my tasks (to prevent losing any data I had left on screen unsaved) manually before logging off. This way I always start a clean session once again.
