Starting Services on Slackware 9.1
Hello,
I just built a Slackware 9.1 box. I have rc.sendmail, rc.httpd and rc.samba in /etc/rc.d. They are all 755 perms. They are referenced in rc.M to start if they are in /etc/rc.d. They do not start. I've also tried adding startup commands to rc.local and they do not start either. Like, instead of relying on rc.M to start apache, I put the line /usr/sbin/apachectl startssl in rc.local. It doesn't work at startup, but it works from the command line. What am I missing here? Jason |
