Question Start up in console mode

Hi guys,
Newbie here!

I recently installed RH 7.3 - in now starts up and immediatly
goes to the GUI. How can I configure it so that
it starts up at the console mode!

and what will I have to change to go back to
the GUI startup.

You need to change your run level to 3.

edit /etc/inittab file
where it is
change to
and to go immediately into run level 3
as root issue
/sbin/telinit 3
