SSH, mp3s, shoutcast, and so on

Heya.

I have a slack 8.1 box set up at home that i like to ssh to when I'm in a boring college class and mess around with (my college also blocks pop servers for some reason, so to get my mail all i have to do is ssh to my box at home, pop up mutt, and boom, got my mail ).

Anyway my questions:

1) first I was curious if there's a better sftp client, one with hash, tab completion and whatnot, because default sftp is annoying!

2) is there a way that i can play mp3s on my box at home on my lappy with
ssh? with mpg321 and whatnot? running mpg321 gives me an error,"fNo default libao driver available." not sure if this has to do with ssh, or the fact that my box at home has no soundcard configured on it.

3) i downloaded the shoutcast server with hopes of running a small talkie broadcast. so far I can't figure out how to play mp3s, or broadcast from it. this really isn't a big issue right now, just trying it out. (although the documentation for shoutcast sucks)

Thanks!

ps. check out the "another usb harddrive thread" thread in the hardware forum, yet another issue i have. heh

1) Looking into scp. It's a command line utility that works similar to regular cp.

2) Get 3) working first.

3) You need to get an app to feed the stream to the server. Personally I prefer to use Icecast rather than Shoutcast. If you look at their download and 3rd party apps pages, you'll find quite a few apps to feed the stream.
