src trouble
i have installed the rpm for the rp-pppoe right. I then go to where the rp-pppoe is stored and then try to compile the program by trying ./go or ./go-gui when i try this an error occurs such as checking for gcc and checking for cc.
i dont think that it is installed in the right place can someone please tell me what to do?? rp-pppoe is in /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES when i went to install the rpm linux wanted a directory called SOURCES.

The source is usually in a tarball along with the other .rpm and so forth packages from wherever you downloaded it. Just look for a .tar.gz file and get that. If not you most suredly will find it doing a search through google or another for rp-pppoe source.

You install rpm packages by typing rpm -Uvh <Package Name>.
If you typed rpm -Uvh (or ivh) rp-pppoe...
and it installed, you need to type adsl-setup. If you installed the gui version and you're in x-windows you can type tkpppoe.
Once you have installed an rpm, you don't have to compile anything. Rpm does it all for you.
