Spurious interrupt: IRQ7 on new installation

Hi,
Just installed a fresh linux system and I've got the following message on the console just after I finished booting:
Code:
spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7
Despite doing a lot of linux I'm not used to dealing with IRQs so I could do with some help on this. I'm not sure if it means there is an IRQ conflict although I doubt this, Perhaps it's a normal message, I just don't know,

Could somebody please fill me in...?

It is not normal but AFAIK is harmless. You can avoid this message by adding
Code:
append = "parport=0x378,7"
in your /etc/lilo.conf (if you use lilo). Since I don't use grub I think that it should be:
Code:
parport=0x378,7
in the options line of your grub.conf.
You can take a look here for more details.
