I have the debian 3.1 install disk- but the only problem is that its on a DVD. Any ideas on how to split the files onto seperate CD's? The DVD contains the debian base system and plus packages from install CD's 1,2,3. Any help would be great.
I don't think you can split the dvd up onto cd's (qualifier: I have been wrong before however). Debian does offer those cd's for sale or as a free download from their site though.
Yea cheers- have dial-up though (yea it sux) so downloading an iso is probably not as easy as it sounds. Thought I might try and see if anyone else had any ideas first. But thanx anyway.
Sorry I wasn't much help to you. You may also consider Ubuntu which is Debian based. From what I understand they will mail out the install cd's anywhere in the world for free and from what I hear they get to you pretty quick. Check here: https://shipit.ubuntu.com/ Good Luck.
