splash screens not working in new kde


ive got kde 3.2.3, and the 2.6. kernel.

when i try to install a splash screen (dude crush from kdelook; i love Nemo), it doesnt work.

i thibnk i installed by the directions on the kdelook faqs, and even in hte spalsh screen selector gui thingy in kde. it works fine on all test, but it doesnt work when i log in.


this is for root account, would that have anything to do with it?
