Space is filling up

A server with home directories is nfsmounted to all user's computers.

How do I determine where the log file is that keeps growing?

I beleive it is a log file because when I make space it gets filled.

You can use 'du' to narrow it down and find the source.

Anyone know any ways I can incorporate utility "diff" or a script that could speed things up?
