Coming fresh off of a Debian Sid install, rhythmbox doesn't work. When I try to play a song, I get this error:
Code:
Could not create audio output element; check your settings
But sound works fine under other programs like XMMS and MythTV.
For some reason, none of the audio inputs on the card work. I've tried the line in on the back, and other inputs on the front panel. If I go to Gnome's Volume Control applet from the panel and click Open Volume Control, I don't have the option to set the devices in there as recording devices, which I'm sure I could do with my SB Live 5.1. All of the input channels in there and through alsamixer are unmuted. I'm not sure if I missed that anywhere else.
lspci sees the card:
Code:
0000:00:0d.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Audigy (rev 04)
0000:00:0d.1 Input device controller: Creative Labs SB Audigy MIDI/Game port (rev 04)
0000:00:0d.2 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Creative Labs SB Audigy FireWire Port (rev 04)
What am I missing?
And on a side note: is there any way to get the remote working?
