Sound Problems
I am having a problem with the sound in my Linux.
I run the system-config-soundcard utility and it detects my two soundcards. One of them is my motherboard sound card, which I installed the sound drivers for. The other is my actual sound card which I didn't install drivers for but it detects it just the same. But when I play test sound it doesn't play anything. I try both sound card but nothing. I hope someone can help me with my problem. It's not major and I've been able to live without it but it's just one of those little annoyances that I haven't been able to fix. Thanks, OrionOps |
There's a good chance that the two cards are conflicting. Try removing the PCI card and set up the m/b card.

I've tried that, originally I just had the sound card installed.

Anyone else have any ideas? I just can't figure this out.

Sound Problems
Whenever i use a pci sound card i always turn the onboard sound off in the bios or setup.
