Sound problem - Change device...

Hi! I just installed my linux and since my sound card was an X-FI and has no support I would like to deactivate it of my distro and activate my mainboard's Realtek sound card.
How can I do this?

I may be able to help you.

Let's see if linux is using anything first. open up the terminal and type "cat /dev/sndstat" (no quotes).

Post the printout.
