Sound juicer and grip

I am using sound juicer to extract audio files to my computer and to copy to disk. It was working fine but all of a sudden I find that my screen is freezing and I have to reboot. I have tried the same with Grip but get the same result.
The only clue I have is under permissions in the properties of the cd I get "cdda" could not be determined.
Any help would be appreciated.

I usually use Sound Juicer, as the nonclamenture for allocating the appropriate codec for ripping. The only time I found that either of them froze, was when the net connection was a bit flakey and it would read the tracks but the lack of the connection would not give me the track details just track 1, 2, etc etc and unknown artist etc.

Does that seem to be the case with your system ???

John

No net connection is fine i can now rip and encode with grip then copy via another program but this is a hassle.
I really would like to solve this problem but no one seems to have any answers.
