Sound doesn't work after installing webcam

Previous to installing a new webcam driver, my sound output was fine. I installed gspcav1 (webcam driver) and ekiga, and proceeded to perform the ekiga configuration druid. The druid could see the webcam, but did not recognize the webcam microphone. On a hunch I rebooted my machine. When it was restarted, Linux now only sees a microphone, but no sound output device.

Can anyone help with this?

Never mind. I performed a hard boot and my sound came back. Yay for me! Thanks.
