The EMU10K1 is the module that the SB Live! uses for sound support. Your sndconfig is reporting correctly, my startup shows the Live! card that way also. Only thing I can think of is that somehow the module isn't loading, and if it is (sorry, i know it sounds silly), check your speakers and that they are on and plugged into the correct jack. Where specifically, are you recieving the I/O error? At startup in the INITs?
Sometimes, a brut method is often more helpful than relying on tinkering.
Try shutting down the computer, removing the sound card (or disabling it, if it's onboard), rebooting RH, letting kudzu tell you that 'something's been removed...', then shut down the computer again, reinstall the card (or reenable it), reboot RH, let kudzu tell you that 'I've found something...' and hopefully, it will sort out the modules for you.
It works for some NICs, so it might work for S/Cs.
So if I have no ONboard sound card then should I get kudzu to re find it after I reset it into maybe a differnet slot? Cause I know for sure that the card works cause it work in Redhat server and also on my windows parittion. I was checking the forum and saw something like lsmod which tells you the modules and I don't think I saw my sound card.
